Q: Will this adapter work with an elm327 obd ii scanner. i have this scanner already. Will it work with a bluedriver scanner? my future scanner.
A: Any scanner it’s just a connection adapter.
Q:Will this work on a bmw 1999 e46 sedan automatic with the round 20 pin port?
Answer: It should. I have a 2000 740 with similar port, this is how I diagnose my car.
Q: My bmw is already a 20 pin connector for obd2 why do i need this adapter?
A: OBDII connectors (J1962) are 16-pin and rectangular, not 20-pin and round. This adapter goes between a 20-pin round connector found on some BMWs to a 16-pin J1962 rectangular connector consistent with the OBDII specification.
Q: Will this work on a 200/6 320i BMW?
A: It should work on any 20 pin conversion to 16 pin OBD 2 scanner. I have only done research for a 1998 Z3. You may also need an OBD 2 scanner specific to BMW to read codes from the 20 pin port. I had to purchase one as the regular parts store OBD 2 scanner wouldn’t read any codes from the 20 pin port.
Q: I own a 2001 BMW Z3 with the M54 Motor 3.0 I needed to access the OBD2, can I do a complete scan?
