The Bavarian based carmaker BMW is on a complete swing with its latest prototypes being analyzed on various sections of Europe; after recent evaluations of this new 2019 Z4 M40I at Autodrome p Miramas at the South of France, the future BMW X3 M was put to work in the famous Nurburgring track, in Germany.
Judging from the apparently stripped-off camouflage, these are possibly the prototype’s final tests before a last introduction, considering at the 2018 Paris Motor Show, this September. To see the SUV’s stage of development, you may also access the spy movie below.
From a visual perspective, the hardcore version in the X3 series presents itself with a very aggressive body design, highlighted by a range of impressive M goodies. We are dealing here with upgraded front and rear bumpers, together with new side skirts and roof-mounted spoiler. The entire look is complemented with the now much larger alloy wheels.
Mechanically, the new 2019 X3 M features new braking system, sports suspension, in addition to the carmaker’s upgraded launch control and retuned electronic equipment, all raising its driving and managing capacities.
From previous articles, we also know that the inside of this 2019 BMW X3 M will come with a great deal of new developments compared to the previous version. We are anticipating more M goodies, better high-end substances and the firm’s newest high-tech gadgetries, also underpinning other new models from BMW.
As for powertrains beneath the hood, word has it that the new X3 M will be outfitted with a 3.0-liter turbo-charged inline six-cylinder engine, also called the S58 pot, the same which is set on the 40I versions. In that the X3 M, the motor could come up with approximately 454 horsepower. This means that it would be approximately 99 horsepower stronger compared to M40I, with a sprint from standstill to 100 km/h performed in 4.0 seconds. Without the M Driver’s Package, the top speed will stop at 250 km/h, or 280 km/h using the system installed.
