Manhart Turns the Power Knob up to 700 on the BMW X6 M

Out of the plethora of BMW tuners out there, some names are more popular than others. The guys from Manhart Performance are among the oldest tuning companies in the world, having worked on BMWs since before I was born. Their creations usually feature carefully picked upgrades to add some more flavor to M models. However, with the introduction of turbocharged engines throughout the BMW line-up in recent years, they have also started releasing monstrous creations, like this BMW X6 M.
As standard, the BMW bruiser is more than enough for most people. The heavy Sports Activity Coupe uses the latest version of the S63 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 from Munich, developing 575 HP and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque. Hooked up to its 8-speed ZF gearbox and the xDrive all-wheel drive system, this particular combo makes sure that the 2.2-ton monster can reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.2 seconds. That’s if we’re talking about the standard car, of course.
The Manhart version has 700 PS at its disposal though, along with 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque, enough probably to move mountains. The MHX6 700, as it was dubbed by the German tuner, reaches these massive amounts of grunt thanks to a new ECU map and new exhaust that features 300-cell catalyst downpipes. To keep everything on the road, on the technical side of things Manhart also added a set of H&R lowering springs to get the center of gravity closer to the ground.
On the aesthetic side of things you’ll notice the Manhart wheels as well as a new hood, a new spoiler added to the rear hatch and a new diffuser just above the Manhart exhaust pipes. Overall, this four-wheel monster will definitely not go unnoticed, anywhere it may go. Get it to the track and things are bound to get even crazier, even though the Germans shied away from posting some official acceleration numbers for its 700 HP SAC.
