2019 BMW X4 Rendered Accurately, Using X3 Cues
July 5, 2017It’s no secret that the upcoming BMW X4 will be taking cues from the 2018 BMW X3. It’s been that way since the original X4 was launched, being considered a Coupe version of its more utilitarian brother. The new versions will definitely stick to the same story with every underpinning being the same, from the engines to the suspension and chassis setup. Therefore, now that we know how the X3 looks like, we can make an educated guess as to how the X4 will turn out as well.
The rendering posted here, done by the guys from X-Tomi design seems to be right on par with what the production version will look like, sporting similar cues as the new X3.
Sure, we only get a front 3/4 look of the car and we don’t have any idea of what the rear end will look like, but even so, this should be close to the real deal. The rear quarter of the car will be the biggest mystery until we get to see it, a big question mark being how the sloping roofline will meet with the tailgate at the back. Also, we’re rather curious how the taillights will be designed, as they will most likely be quite different from the X3.
Other than that, the X4 will be, as we already said, right on par with the X3 in terms of performance and drivetrains. The top of the range M40i will also use a 360 HP engine and it will most likely be set up to be sportier than the Sports Activity Vehicle. Inside the cabin the exact same layout will be used with small changes in the back, as the sloping roof will cut into the headroom rear passengers will get. An X4 M is also being prepped, which will sport a beefed-up design with aggressive lines, usual M iconic design cues, flared wheel arches and a lower stance.
